The Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICT Authority) is the National Regulatory Body for the ICT and telecommunications sector in Mauritius.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of:

ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY

1. QUALIFICATIONS

A. A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or Passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education “Advanced Level” or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the ICT Board, and

B. A degree in Management or Public Administration or Business Administration or Law from a recognised institution or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the ICT Board.

Candidates should also

a)  Have at least three years’ post qualification experience in a similar position,

b)  be familiar with up-to-date trends and techniques in management,

c)  possess good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills,

d)  be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and

e)  be computer literate;

Candidates should submit proven evidence of experience claimed.

2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      1. Report to the Executive Director or through such designated officer,
      2. Assist the Executive Director in all administrative work of the Authority
      3. Act as Secretary to the Board and give support to the Executive Director by providing material for use in meetings related to Board decisions, strategies, policies and any other such activity,
      4. Ensure follow up actions on all decisions taken by the Board in consultation with the Executive Director,
      5. Assist in the formulation and implementation of strategies and policies,
      6. Use ICT in the performance of their duties,
      7. Perform such other duties directly related to the Department the incumbent is posted or related to the delivery of the output and results expected in the roles ascribed to them.

3. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

One-year contract.
